Kalpavriksha(Sanskrit: कल्पवृक्ष, lit. 'age tree') is a wish-fulfilling divine tree in Indian religions, like Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism. Its earliest descriptions are mentioned in Sanskrit literature.

कल्पवृक्ष’ का नाम आपने कहीं न कहीं जरूर सुना होगा। लेकिन मुमकिन है कि कभी देखा न हो। इसे देवलोक का वृक्ष माना जाता है। इसे कल्पद्रुप, कल्पतरु, सुरतरु देवतरु तथा कल्पलता जैसे नामों से भी जाना जाता है। पुराणों के अनुसार समुद्रमंथन से प्राप्त 14 रत्नों में कल्पवृक्ष भी एक था।
कल्पवृक्ष स्वर्ग का एक विशेष वृक्ष है। पौराणिक धर्म ग्रंथों और हिन्दू मान्यताओं के अनुसार यह माना जाता है कि इस वृक्ष के नीचे बैठकर व्यक्ति जो भी इच्छा करता है, वह पूर्ण हो जाती है।
आयुर्वेद की दृष्टि से इस दुर्लभ वृक्ष का औषधीय महत्व है। इस पेड़ का उदभव अफ्रीका के जंगल में हुआ और ये भारत में कहीं कहीं पाया जाता है।

Baobab Tree Care
Location
The bonsai baobab needs a warm place to grow and it is best to place them at a bright, sunny spot where they can receive full sunlight for at least 5-6 hours every day. Choose to place the pot on the patio, porch, or near a south or southeast-facing window.
Soil
The baobab bonsai needs well-drained, sandy soil. Make the soil mix at home by using 2 parts of sand, 3 parts of compost, in 1 part of the soil. You can also buy a premixed soil mix meant for cactus as it would allow good aeration of the soil.
Water
Water your baobab bonsai till it seeps out from the drainage holes. Make sure that you are never overwatering the plant. Check the topsoil for moisture and water the plant when it feels a little dry to the touch.
Note: Kalpvruksha plant is very difficult to grow from seeds, it may be possible to have waiting time from 15 to 30 days.
